In October 2021, we implemented traffic changes to the area around Valentine Place, Webber Street and Baron’s Place to reduce the amount of through traffic in the area. As these changes were implemented under an experimental traffic management order, we must monitor and consult on whether these changes have been effective. We must then either make the changes permanent, amend them or remove them by May 2023.

A local resident has successfully put in a bid to fund new hedging, to help transform the Dickens Estate. The funding comes from a pot of money called the Community Enhancement Fund from Tideway .
The new hedging will be made up of noise reducing planting and evergreen hedges, similar to the ones that already exist on the estate at Tupman, Rudge and Wrayburn.
