Short Breaks for Adults with Learning Disabilities 2023 - Have your say

Closed 6 Jan 2024

Opened 9 Oct 2023

Overview

Have your say on short breaks in Southwark.

The council is reviewing and consulting on how short breaks are delivered for adults with Learning Disabilities. This will involve continuing to provide specialist overnight short breaks where appropriate, whilst providing a range of options to individuals who are assessed as being eligible for specialist short breaks.

We want to make sure that anyone who uses the service; carers and others, can offer their views on what is important to them and what they think the adult Short Break service should look like.

Get involved and tell us what you think by

  • Completing the short breaks survey (link below)
  • Coming along to a feedback session with VoiceAbility* to find out what people have said so far, and to share your views.

*VoiceAbility is an independent charity that supports people to be heard in decisions that affect their health, care and wellbeing. These sessions will be designed for people with and without a learning disability. They will help make sure that everyone can share their views and ideas on the future of short breaks, if they want to.

You can download background documents and a printable version of the survey using the links at the bottom of the page.

Consultation Closing Date : 6th January 2024
