Our Streets for People strategy sets out a bold vision and a firm commitment to improve our residents' quality of life, by changing how we all travel and use streets in our borough. Southwark is facing significant social, environmental and health challenges. We have already seen how these are impacting the daily lives of our residents. We have heard from people in Southwark, and we know we need to act on climate change, air and noise pollution, as well as our mental and physical health....

Tell us what changes we can make to the streets in the East Faraday area to make it easier to walk, wheel, cycle or just spend time in the area. A few years ago we introduced a number of measures in the streets around East Faraday, to reduce motor vehicle traffic and make the streets safer for walking and cycling. As well as the surveys and other engagement activities you can find on this site, there are lots of other Streets for People activities going on throughout the year. We'll be going door-to-door in North Walworth ward from 18th September, inviting people to tell us what Streets for People changes they would like to see on their street.
If you see us out and about, feel free to come over and have a chat. We will have short paper surveys and flyers to take away.
We'll be at the International Day for Older People event, taking place in Peckham Square 12-4pm on Saturday 30th September. Come and meet us there and tell us how we can make streets more accessible for older people.
We'll be at the Veolia Wonder Day on 16th September 10am-4pm, part of Open House weekend. Come along, meet the team and find out about Streets for People, alongside loads of other fun activities. The Wonder Day takes place at Southwark Integrated Waste Management Facility, 43 Devon Street (just off Old Kent Road), London, SE15 1PD
