Overview

Southwark Youth Parliament (SYP) is a group of young people, elected by young people to represent the voices of young people through their schools and neighbourhoods. SYP support the Council’s engagement with young people and work on developing more exciting and involving ways of addressing priority topics that matter most to young people in Southwark.

From 25 to 29 September 2023, you can have your say by voting for the people you want to represent you.

We are looking for two representatives from your school and two representatives from your community area to be elected as SYP members and lead on the topics that matter most to you. 

To be eligible to vote:

  • You must be a young person between the ages of 11 to 18, living or attending school in Southwark.
  • or a young person up to the age of 25 with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND), living or attending school in Southwark. 

Successful candidates will be announced on 11 October 2023.
