Streets for People - Walking Plan
Overview
Take a look at Southwark's draft Walking Plan, part of a set of Streets for People plans, and tell us what you think about our proposals to make Southwark a borough built for pedestrians.
You can read the full Walking Plan here.
The plan is split into a series of sections, with specific proposals in each part:
Going outside. Objective 1: Providing a safe and accessible pedestrian environment.
Going places. Objective 2: Creating a connected network of streets.
Going out. Objective 3: Designing public spaces around pedestrians.
Going for a walk. Objective 4: Supporting walking, wheeling and running for leisure.
The survey that follows has questions about each of these sections, so you can tell us if we have missed anything, and help us make the plan as effective as possible.
These questions relate to the objectives and proposals. If you want to tell us more about walking in your local neighbourhood and changes you might like to see there, there is also our 'Streets for People - What do you want in your neighbourhood?' survey, which is open until March 2024.
You can also review and respond to our Cycling Plan, and our Electric Vehicle Plan
