Rodney Place Pre-Planning

Closed 17 Apr 2021

Opened 1 Apr 2021

Overview

You have been directed to this website from a newsletter about our proposal for a development of new homes at Rodney Place.

With over 10,000 households on the council's waiting list the need for genuinely affordable housing has never been greater, and Southwark Council with support from the GLA has the opportunity to build new homes in the borough.

Over the last few months the council has been working with the design team on the proposal for development, and we would like to have your views on the proposal before it is submitted for planning approval.

Why your views matter

Whilst acknowledging the difficulties caused by COVID-19, the Council continues to be committed to its target of delivering 11,000 new homes by 2043. Therefore, where possible, the New Homes Team continues to operate on a business as usual basis to ensure that new homes continue to be developed.

At this stage, we would usually invite you to attend a drop in event to see the completed scheme before a planning application is submitted. As we are unable to hold such events the presentation boards are published here for you to review.

We would like you to look at the final designs and submit your views in the short questionnaire attached.
