11,000 New Council Homes - Maltby Street, St Saviours Estate

Closed 14 Jun 2020

Opened 18 May 2020

Overview

Southwark Council has made a historic commitment to deliver 11,000 new homes in Southwark by 2043, with 2,500 delivered by 2022. To make this a success we need to know what residents think in order to shape our proposals. This is the key to the delivery of quality housing that improves the local area and the lives of Southwark residents.

As part of our commitment, we are considering the development of 24 new homes on the 11 garages, parking spaces and pram sheds next to Woodville House.

We would like you to complete a short survey and give us your views on the architects' latest design, which includes feedback from the drop-in for residents held on 27 January 2020. This will form part of the planning application for development of the site.

Maltby Street

Why your views matter

It’s important to us that we work with residents when we create new homes in Southwark.  We would like to invite residents on St. Saviour’s estate, Maltby Street and Grange Walk to review the new design proposal before we submit our planning application.  Please download the document Latest Proposal to review the Maltby Street Design.

Following comments from the residents' drop-in exhibition on 27 January, the architects have revised the design. The block will surrounded by new planting and landscaping which will benefit the whole estate. Review  the "We Asked, You Said, We Did" document below for all comments provided so far in our consulation for the site.

What happens next

Thank you for completing this survey. After this consultation closes on 20th May 2020, we will look at the responses we receive and update all residents about the outcome by a newsletter posted to every household.
