Dulwich Village (Phase 3 design)
Overview
We want to hear your views on proposed improvements along Dulwich Village and Calton Avenue.
We have revised our proposals following public feedback received during Phase 2 consultation in November and December 2022, and in line with Southwark’s new approach to Streets for People.
We have addressed concerns including safety for vulnerable road users; reducing traffic congestion along Dulwich Village, and improving the quality of the public space on Calton Avenue.
Our proposals include:
- Good quality space, accessible for all to connect, socialise and play, in a safe and pleasant environment
- New, wider and more direct pedestrian crossings
- Separating pedestrians, cyclists and motorists; reducing cyclists’ speed through traffic calming
- Disabled parking, cycle parking and a loading bay
- More trees and greenery
- Outdoor seating
- Improving journeys for those who have to use their cars or public transport by reducing northbound congestion.
This survey should take around 5 minutes. If agreed, it is expected that construction on the final design would take place in summer 2024.
Please note - there is a separate consultation on proposals for controlled parking. Find out more here.
