New name for Central Venture Park - 2nd Consultation

Choose a new name for Central Venture Park 

Your local park friends group have suggested changing the name of Central Venture Park to Kelly Avenue Park. The council has consulted local residents and park users to give everyone the opportunity to propose an alternative park name.

Three new park names have been suggested:

• Kelly Park
• Kelly Avenue Park
• The Adventure Peace Park

This is the final chance to tell us which one you prefer, or if you want the park to continue being called Central Venture Park?

After the consultation, the next step will be for the shortlisted park name to be approved by the emergency services.  There can sometimes be concern with park names that duplicate road names, as this can lead to confusion when emergency services are called out.  

Should the shortlisted name be rejected, Central Venture Park will remain in use.

This consultation being carried out by our parks team opens 15th August 2022 and closes 21^st September 2022.
