Overview

Help us design the new Library and Heritage Centre in Walworth.

Southwark Council is going to open a new library and heritage centre on the Walworth Road.

Bringing these two services together creates some great opportunities for new ways of using the facility and sharing knowledge. We want to encourage lots of new people to this unique place and inspire everyone with fascinating stories about Southwark and objects from our collections.

The new centre will support best practice in Library services, incorporating innovative display and event spaces more familiar in museums & other public buildings.

We are testing ideas about the layout of the space, how we should announce the new public facility onto Walworth Road, and how to best make the new accessible entrance distinctive.

Look at the plans and ideas attached, and let us know your views using the online survey.
