Old Kent Road Social Regeneration Charter
Overview
Southwark Council is determined to ensure that regeneration in our borough works for everyone. To show how we plan to achieve this goal, we have drawn up a Social Regeneration Charter for Old Kent Road. This Charter sets out detailed aims for reducing social, economic and health inequalities and explains how we will monitor our progress towards achieving a number of promises which the Council has made to the community.
We would like you to take part
From 14 to 16 August we held three drop-in sessions at our community space, 231 Old Kent Road. The responses we received at these sessions informed the draft version of the Charter that we submitted to the council’s Cabinet in September.
We are now carrying out more detailed consultation on the Charter so that we can better understand the local community’s thoughts, which we hope, will further improve the final document.
There will be two sessions which will again be held at 231 Old Kent Road SE1 5LU. These will be on:
- Thursday 17 October - evening
- Thursday 24 October - evening
