Braganza Street workshops - 2nd Consultation

Closed 27 Jun 2016

Opened 31 May 2016

Feedback expected 13 Jul 2016

Overview

We have made a commitment to build 11,000 new council homes for local residents. We are planning to build some of these new homes on the Braganza Street Workshop site in Kennington. Some of the new homes would be for private sale. The money raised from these sales will help us deliver the affordable homes.

The site is currently home to several workshops used by local business. There will still be space for workshops in the new development.

This is the second consultation on this proposal. We try to use all of the feedback we receive from residents. Here is a summary of how we used your feedback from the first consultation

  • Reduced the height of the proposed housing on Braganza Street and stepped it back from the street to increase the foot path.
  • Redesigned the proposed development on Gaza street so that it is more inkeeping with existing buildings
  • Altered our landscaping proposals to include a childrens play facility and wildlife attracting, low maintenance planting.

Please take a look at the consultation boards for further details on the how the proposals have changed since the last round.
