Lindley Estate - Landscape Improvements
Overview
Southwark, like many London Boroughs is an area where demand for social housing far outstrips supply. We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to improve the lives of our residents and build new council homes in the borough. It is crucial if we’re going to tackle the housing crisis and make sure our residents have quality homes they can be proud of, now and in the future.
One of our schemes is the current bedsits at 157-177 Commercial Way, at the junction with Peckham Park Road.
The scheme will be delivering 44 social rented units from one to four bedroom homes related to planning policy and housing needs in the area.
Why your views matter
It’s really important to us that we consult with existing residents when we create new council homes and discuss with residents ways to improve estates so that all residents can benefit.
