New Homes Proposals at Leroy Street
For updates on the new homes proposals at Leroy Street we have moved all of the information to our Common Place website:
https://leroystreet.commonplace.is/
We've committed to build 11,000 new council homes across Southwark by 2043 - 2,500 of these by 2022. It's a big goal, but crucial if we're going to tackle the housing crisis and make sure our residents have quality homes they can be proud of, now and in the future.
Throughout the design and development of all our new council homes, we work closely with residents and the local community to help shape the way we do things, so your feedback is important to us.
Leroy Street, Creasy estate - garage site
We are considering developing new council homes where three garage blocks are currently situated. These garages are no longer used for their intended purpose and could be used to build council homes for local residents in housing need.
The map below shows the indicative area of council land on which we may develop in consultation with local residents.
We want residents to be involved in choosing the best development option for the area. Please take a few minutes to give us your views in this short questionnaire.
If you are having difficulties and would like some help with completing this form, please contact the New Homes Engagement officer Helen Laker on 0207 525 0848.
Over the coming months we will be writing to you again to update you on the Residents’ Project Group and invite you to a drop-in session to help to develop a Community Brief, and to provide feedback on the queries or concerns you raised.
As the scheme develops, we will keep you updated through newsletters, by postings on this website, and wherever possible through drop-ins and events at times that will work for everyone.
