How would you improve your estate?

Your feedback is very important to us and we’ll use it to help us develop our plans for this site.

1. Do you agree with the principles of creating new council homes on Alvey Estate - Sedan Way that will:

 

  • Provide new homes for those locally in housing need
  • Create homes that fully integrate affordable housing into surrounding communities
  • Provide more environmentally sustainable housing
  • Provide safer and better quality affordable housing, reducing long term maintenance costs
  • Provide opportunities for enhancing the existing estate by making improvements to the estates
  • Provide opportunities for enhancement of local services through planning policy
2. Please suggest ways in which your estate could be improved alongside the creation of new council homes.

4. Please tell us what would concern you the most while the new council homes at Alvey Estate are being built?
5. Would you like to be part of the Residents' Project Group? meetings

We will establish a project group once we have approval for the scheme. The project group will be made up of local residents and stakeholders who will work with the architects and project team to develop design proposals. Members of the project group will need to commit to attending 4 – 6 meetings

6. During this time What method of contact would you prefer?

The council remain committed to working with residents on our programme to deliver new social housing in Southwark during this period of uncertainty and will follow the advice issued by Central Government as to the precautionary measures and action to take to ensure that residents, staff, and partners are protected from the Coronavirus through face to face and public gatherings.
