Have your say on Victory Community Park

Overview

Help us to make improvements to Victory Community Park in Walworth.

We want to deliver improvements to Victory Community Park for people who live, work or visit the park to enjoy.

We want to improve:

  • the general landscape of the park
  • the look of the park, to make it a more welcoming and safe space; and
  • east and west connections, as part of the East Walworth Green Links, around and through the park

In order to do this we need your help to shape what these improvements could look like.   Whether you live, work near the park, or are a visitor, we would like to know what your views and aspirations for the park are.  Your feedback is important as it will be used to guide initial designs for the park. Once the designs are ready there will be further consultation.  If you would like to receive feedback on this survey and/or updates, please leave your contact details, with us.

This consultation is being carried out by our parks and leisure team at Southwark Council. Please spare a few minutes to help us develop quality designs for the park.

The closing date for giving us your views is 9 February 2020.

Privacy Statement

Southwark Council uses your personal data to record your response to the consultation. Section 1 of the Localism Act 2011 requires us to do this. The council does not require your permission to process your data and failure to tell us your information may mean that we are unable to process your response. Your personal information will only be used by our parks team, and will be destroyed after four years.

If you are concerned about how the council uses your personal data or would like to enquire about the personal information we hold on you, please contact us via dpo@southwark.gov.uk or on 020 7525 5000. More information about your rights is available on our website, or via the Information Commissioner (www.ico.org.uk).

What happens next

What you tell us will be used to shape initial designs for the park.  These initial designs will be developed by a landscape design consultant who we will appoint by January 2020.

The initial designs will go through a formal public consultation by March 2020.  From this consultation, the council will finalise the designs.  If approved by the council, the physical improvements to the park will begin in Spring 2020.
