Swale and Rain Garden for Tupman House Green Space

Closed 2 Apr 2021

Opened 3 Mar 2021

Overview

Let us know what you think about plans to improve the open green space at Tupman House and introduce a swale and rain garden.

A swale and rain garden is created by redirecting the rainwater from rooftops from down pipes  and redirect the water into a more natural environment to soak away locally in the ground with specialist planting. This will help the local environment by increasing the local biodiversity, by diverting relatively clean water away from our overstretched sewer systems and so help to reduce local flooding.

Why your views matter

After a successful Cleaner Greener Safer (CGS) submission, funds have been awarded to improve the open green space at Tupman House and introduce a swale and rain garden.
