Proposed installation of Secure Cycle Hangars on the Purbrook Estate

Overview

In response to a successful Cleaner Greener Safer (CGS) application to fund the installation of secure cycle hangars in the Purbrook Estate we're proposing installations at the locations attached below.

The proposal is for the installation of two secure cycle hangars to serve the Purbrook Estate. Each cycle hangar has a unique key and room for six cycles. There are metal bars and racks inside the hangar to lock each individual cycle to the hangar.

The secure cycle hangar rental system is operated by Cyclehoop Ltd, and NOT by Southwark Council.

• Spaces in a hangar  are available for rent at £40 per annum,( subject to change)
• There is now an optional payment scheme of £5 per month, to help with your payments.

Why your views matter

We are aware that there is potentially high demand by residents from the estate who use existing railings and handrails, which are at high risk of theft.

A refundable deposit of £25 will also be charged for the hangar key.
