Let's transform Peckham Rye Park Adventure playground
Overview
Help us come up with designs to improve the adventure playground
The adventure playground is located in the south east corner of Peckham Rye Park. The park is located in the Peckham Rye ward, south of Southwark.
The project to improve the adventure playground will:
- improve the play building with general repairs and redecorations to the main room, with a new colour scheme and flooring.
- install new adventure play equipment, with the playground made more accessible so children with disabilities can play alongside their friends.
- remove or repair older adventure play equipment
- improve the playground landscaping, possibly with new paths, seating and planting.
We are at an early stage before any designs for the playground have been created. That is why giving your views now will help ensure improvements to the adventure playground meets the needs of local families, parents carers, young people and children.
You can also come and talk to us in person at one of our drop-in events at the adventure playground. Our design team will be there to answer your questions and help you fill in the survey on:
- Friday 27 January, between 3.30 pm and 6.00 pm
- Saturday 4 February, between 12:00 noon - 3.00 pm
- Thursday 16 February, between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm
This online survey is open to anyone who lives, works or visits the borough. Our parks team look forward to hearing from you by the closing date of Monday 20 February 2023.
What happens next
We will consider all responses to this consultation and these will be used to create a final design for the play area by June 2023.
