We did
We listened to the responses you gave and we are using these suggestions for the timed collection scheme in Rye lane and parts of other strreets in close proximity.
This scheme will mean that for most of the day, there will be no waste on the pavement in Rye Lane. This will make the area cleaner and more pleasant for everyone.
Overview
The council want to work with businesses and residents in and around Rye Lane to make it a cleaner and more pleasant place for everyone.
We know many businesses and flats don't have enough space to store their rubbish, meaning sacks of waste are often left on the pavement.
We’re planning to introduce timed collections on Rye Lane and other nearby streets. There would be set times when you could put your waste on the pavement, at which point it would be collected promptly. This would mean that for up to 20 hours of the day, there would be no waste on the pavement.
However, we need to know what times would work best.
What happens next
We will use your views to inform our decisions about timed waste collections on Rye Lane.
