Brunswick Park Play Area Upgrade 2 - Draft Plan
Overview
Camberwell Community Council has awarded Cleaner Greener Safer funding to develop a draft plan to revitalise the play area in Brunswick Park. We would like to know what you think.
We are asking parents/carers, children and residents to give us feedback on the design for the play area. Please help us by filling in the survey below to let us know what you think.
There will also be an opportunity for you to give us your feedback in person on Friday 10 June 2016 from 2.30pm – 5.30pm. We would also encourage you to bring your children down to give us their feedback too.
Please have a good look at the drawings and give us your feedback by filling in the survey below.
Why your views matter
The design of the play area has been largely driven by the feedback we received by the community. In particular the feedback focused on the need to provide a safe, adventurous and imaginative play space with room to sit, meet friends, run around, ride a bike and kick a ball.
It was important for us to ensure that the play area fits in well with the character of Brunswick Park. The changes we make should allow people to use the park in as much the same way as they always have. We want to ensure the trees played a big role and that nature and natural play came through in this design, with new planting and natural play surfaces.
The design also provides play spaces that are appropriately designed towards particular age groups and abilities by dividing the space into ‘zones’, which will reduce any potential conflict between these groups.
What happens next
Your feedback will be used to inform the final design of the new play area. This design will be made available on our website once completed. Please be sure to check the council website for future updates.
