Air Quality Action Plan 2023-2027

Overview

Tell us what you think about Southwark's draft Air Quality Action Plan for 2023-2027. This is the plan that will guide our actions and policies to improve air quality in the borough over the next five years.

You can help by reading the draft plan and letting us know your thoughts:-

  • Have we selected the right actions and the right ways of measuring success?
  • Are there actions we have missed or changes to the wording that would help them be more successful?
  • Are there actions or measures that don't belong?

The full plan can be downloaded below. The proposed actions and measures of success are also summarised throughout the survey.

The survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete, but there is the option to respond only on those areas that particularly interest you.

Please note: there is a short version of this survey, where you can comment on a shorter list of key actions, available here.

Why your views matter

Air pollution causes adverse health impacts, and contributes to the onset of heart disease and cancer. Air pollution particularly affects the most vulnerable in society: children and older people, and those with heart and lung conditions.  Air quality is an equalities issue, because areas with poor air quality are often also the less affluent areas.

Your ideas and suggestions will help us make sure this plan is as effective as it can be.
